Metronidazole has a broad range of antibiotic action aside from simple dental indications and can even be used to treat skin infections. Also known as ‘Metrogel’, Metronidazole is an antibiotic and an antiprotozoal. Often prescribed in short, 3-day courses, Metronidazole can help your patient feel better after 1-2 days starting their treatment course.

Patients who have ever had an allergic reaction to metronidazole
Pregnant or breastfeeding patients
Patients with liver problems
Patients on dialysis
Patients who may not be able to stop drinking alcohol while using metronidazole
